Kaduna State University (KASU) has taken another significant step towards strengthening inter-institutional collaboration with a courtesy visit to Kaduna Polytechnic aimed at fostering partnerships in research, innovation, engineering education, and capacity development.
The KASU delegation, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Yushau Ango, represented the Vice-Chancellor during the visit.
He stated that the courtesy call was in line with the University’s commitment to strengthening relationships with sister institutions and promoting collaboration in areas that will advance higher education in Kaduna State. Professor Ango explained that the University is particularly interested in partnering with Kaduna Polytechnic to enhance practical engineering training, collaborative research, innovation, and technology development.



To further explain the University’s vision, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor M.K Dauda, highlighted the enormous opportunities for collaboration between both institutions. He noted that Kaduna Polytechnic’s wealth of experience in technical and engineering education presents a unique opportunity for joint practical training, research, staff exchange, and knowledge sharing. According to him, such collaboration will contribute significantly to producing highly skilled, globally competitive engineering graduates capable of addressing modern technological challenges.
Other members of the delegation included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Bashir Ali, the Director of Academic Planning, Professor Auwal Abdulsalam, the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Tukur Abdulkadir, the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Professor M.K Dauda, the Acting Chief Security Officer, Nasiru Isiyaku and staff of the Corporate Services Department.



Responding, the Rector of Kaduna Polytechnic, Dr. Suleiman Umar, alongside the institution’s Registrar, Dr. Muhammad Tanimu, the Bursar Muhammad Sule, and Mahmud Usman Librarian,
expressed delight over the visit and described Kaduna State University as a valued partner in advancing education, research, and human capital development. He reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s commitment to working closely with KASU in areas of mutual interest, particularly in engineering education, research, innovation, and institutional development.
Also speaking, the Polytechnic Librarian Mahmud Usman welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that collaboration among higher institutions remains vital for expanding access to knowledge resources, strengthening research activities, and improving the quality of teaching and learning.



The visit featured the presentation of souvenirs by protocol unit of Kaduna State University to the Management of Kaduna Polytechnic as a symbol of friendship and institutional partnership. The event concluded with a group photograph of members of both institutions, marking the beginning of what is expected to be a stronger and more productive relationship between the two institutions
The courtesy visit underscores Kaduna State University’s unwavering commitment to building strategic partnerships that promote academic excellence, research, innovation, and sustainable development for the benefit of students, staff, and society.
