Kaduna State University Partners with Skipper Power to Empower Youths in Renewable Energy

The Kaduna Skipper Electrical Electronics and Renewable Energy Academy (KADSEEREA) recently held its graduation and certificate award ceremony, celebrating a new cohort of trained youth in renewable energy technologies. The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Her Excellency Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, and the Vice Chancellor of Kaduna State University (KASU), Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa.

In his welcome address, the President of Skipper Power, Mr. Jitendra Satchdeva, appreciated the unwavering support of the Kaduna State Government and Kaduna State University. He congratulated the graduates and urged them to utilize their newly acquired skills to drive change and innovation in the energy sector.

Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Kaduna State for facilitating the Skipper initiative in the state. He acknowledged the contributions of Skipper Power and commended the Deputy Governor for her continued support. He congratulated the graduands for their dedication, noting, “KASU will establish a solar power consultancy, and five graduates from this academy will be employed to form the nucleus of the new office.”

Delivering her remarks, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe conveyed the goodwill of the Governor and congratulated the graduating students. She praised KADSEEREA for its commitment to youth empowerment through technical training and thanked the university community for its support. She encouraged the graduands to be bold, innovative, and purposeful in applying their knowledge, affirming that “the world is waiting for you to shine forth.”

Certificates were presented to the deserving graduates by the Deputy Governor, Vice Chancellor, and other dignitaries. The ceremony concluded with a photo session, symbolizing a key milestone in the strategic partnership between KASU and Skipper Power, aimed at empowering Kaduna’s youth and advancing renewable energy development.
