The Management of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDCO), led by its Managing Director, Dr. Umar Abubakar Hashidu, paid a courtesy visit to Kaduna State University (KASU) on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
The visit aimed to reinforce the partnership between KAEDCO and the University, following extensive discussions on resolving power-related challenges on campus. Additionally, it served as an opportunity to explore areas of mutual benefit, particularly in human capital development, institutional growth, and economic advancement.
During the visit, Dr. Hashidu emphasized the critical role of institutions like KASU in the development of the power sector. He highlighted KAEDCO’s commitment to fostering collaboration in research, revenue generation strategies, and student mentorship programs.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa expressed gratitude to the KAEDCO delegation for their visit and reaffirmed the University’s readiness to partner with the company on various developmental initiatives. He urged KAEDCO to continue viewing KASU as a strategic partner, particularly in research collaborations. He also appreciated the company’s ongoing efforts to address the persistent power challenges on the Kaduna Campus.
