Kaduna State University (KASU) on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, broke ground on a state-of-the-art ICT experience centre at its Kaduna Campus. The project, sponsored by TETFUND and facilitated by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, as part of the Renewed Hope Initiative, marks the pilot phase of a national initiative to establish six ICT experience centres across the country’s geopolitical zones, with KASU hosting the North West region.


Representing the Vice Chancellor, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen Afang Andow, welcomed stakeholders at the site handover and groundbreaking ceremony. She expressed gratitude to TETFUND and the First Lady for selecting KASU as the pilot institution in the North West. She highlighted the longstanding development partnership between TETFUND and KASU, emphasizing the strategic importance of the project as it coincides with the launch of the university’s distant learning programs. Prof. Andow assured that the university management is fully committed to supporting the contractors to ensure the successful completion of the project.
The new ICT experience centre is poised to significantly enhance the technological and educational capabilities of Kaduna State University, setting a benchmark for future developments in the region’s digital education landscape.
