Dr. Gumgaro Simon-Peter Buba, PhD

Head of Department

We are delighted to welcome you to the Department of Quantity Surveying, established at the Kafanchan Campus as part of the university’s second phase of development. At KASU, we offer both undergraduate and postgraduate programs that are designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the field of Quantity Surveying.

Our department holds special significance within Kaduna State, a region known for its rich history in the profession. Notably, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, located in our state, was the first institution in West Africa to offer a degree in Quantity Surveying in 1971. We are proud to continue the legacy of great Quantity Surveyors from the region, such as Dr. Shehu Lawal Giwa, Dr. Baba Usman, and many others, whose contributions have left a lasting mark on the profession.
