The Tyap Wikimedia User Group (TWU) has organised a Wikimedia Outreach programme at Kaduna State University (KASU) to introduce students and staff to open knowledge and Wikipedia editing.
The programme was facilitated by Mr Kuyet Friday, a Wikimedia editor, who guided participants on reliable sources, responsible editing, Wikipedia account setup, and editing techniques.
A major highlight was the hands-on practical session, where participants learnt how to make their first edits and improve Wikipedia articles.
The Tyap Wikimedia User Group appreciated the University Librarian, Dr Babagida Umar Dangani, for providing the opportunity to organise the programme and supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives within the university community.
