The Kaduna State University Library Information Systems and Services organised a workshop on Monday, 14th April 2025 aimed at enhancing the global visibility of academic staff through the use of Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID). ORCID is a unique digital identifier that functions like an academic social media profile, allowing researchers to upload their academic portfolios and link all their scholarly activities in one place.
The training session was designed to equip staff with the knowledge and skills needed to create, manage, and maximise their ORCID profiles for greater research exposure and collaboration opportunities. The Library also announced its commitment to assisting interested staff members in setting up and optimising their ORCID accounts.
