SHEHU, Hauwau is born in Kaduna state an indigene of makarfi local government, a registered nurse, Midwife and Public Healh Nurse(RN,RM,PHN)With Bachelor of NursingSciences,Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Masters in Reproductive Health and Registered Midwife Tutor from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Msc(Menal Health Nursing)student in Bayero University Kano. Currently Assistant Lecturer, staff of the Department of Nursing Sciences with the task of lecturing undergraduate student nurses, conducting research and community service.
Shehu Hauwau, an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Nursing Sciences, Kaduna State University, is a dedicated professional excelling in Mental Health Nursing, education, and research. An indigene of Makarfi LGA, Kaduna State, she is a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Public Health Nurse, and Registered Midwife Tutor. With a Bachelor of Nursing Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and a Master’s in Reproductive Health, she is currently pursuing an MSc in Mental Health Nursing at Bayero University, Kano.
Hauwau has extensive clinical and academic experience, having worked at various healthcare institutions and contributing to student mentorship and curriculum delivery at KASU since 2020. Her teaching skills, coupled with her expertise in mental health, reproductive health, and family planning, underline her dedication to improving healthcare delivery and education. Hauwau actively participates in research and community service, reflecting her commitment to advancing nursing practices.
Her training includes workshops on post-abortion care, family planning, and research methodology. Known for her hardworking nature and excellence in professional and academic roles, she continues to inspire and mentor future nurses while contributing meaningfully to public health advancements in Nigeria.
