Biography

Professor Alexander Kure is an accomplished academic, educator, and administrator, born in Ngaskiya, Kaduna State, Nigeria. A proud indigene of Jema’a Local Government Area, he is fluent in English and Hausa, married to Dr. Olubukola A. Kure, with whom he shares three children: Samson, Albert, and Blessing.

Professor Kure holds a PhD in English Literature from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria (2006), alongside an extensive educational background that includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and degrees in Literature in English. His illustrious teaching career spans decades, beginning as an Assistant Lecturer in 1986. He joined Kaduna State University (KASU) in 2005, where he rose to the rank of Professor of Comparative Literature in 2014.
