Biography

Dr. Nwoye Zacharista Ifeamaechi is a highly accomplished microbiologist, researcher, and academic with a strong focus on parasitology, entomology, and ecology. Born on October 1, 1974, in Udi, Enugu State, Nigeria, she obtained her PhD in Zoology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2016. Her academic journey includes an MSc in Applied Entomology and Parasitology from the University of Jos and a BSc in Education Biology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Dr. Nwoye has over two decades of teaching and research experience, having worked at Grays International College, Shehu Idris College of Health Sciences, and currently at Kaduna State University as a Lecturer I. Her teaching portfolio spans diverse topics such as general biology, parasitology, soil ecology, and animal ecology. She is deeply committed to mentoring undergraduate students, guiding them in research projects on agricultural and environmental biology.

Her scholarly work emphasizes sustainable practices in agriculture and pest management, contributing to local and international knowledge. A fluent English speaker, she balances academic excellence with service to her community. Dr. Nwoye’s dedication to education and research has cemented her reputation as a leading figure in biological sciences in Nigeria.
