Dr. Lurwanu Usman is a Lecturer in the Department of Public Administration at Kaduna State University. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, completed in 2025. His academic journey reflects a strong commitment to excellence, progressing through BSc, MSc, and PhD levels within the same discipline.
He specializes in areas such as public financial management, social protection policy, local government administration, and development planning. His research interests focus on poverty reduction strategies, taxation systems, and policy implementation challenges in Nigeria.
Dr. Usman has actively contributed to teaching and academic administration within Kaduna State University, where he has served in multiple roles including Level Coordinator, Departmental Examination Officer, Assistant Faculty Examination Officer, and Programme Coordinator at the Distance Learning Institute.
He has supervised several postgraduate and undergraduate research projects, demonstrating strong mentorship capacity. In addition to his university teaching experience, he has also participated in the Federal Government N-Power Scheme and served during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), where he engaged in teaching and community development initiatives.
Dr. Usman has attended numerous academic workshops and training programs, particularly in research methodology, artificial intelligence applications in education, data analysis, and distance learning systems.
