Dr. Hauwau Yakubu Bako is a Senior Lecturer and accomplished biochemist at Kaduna State University, specializing in diabetes research, molecular biology, and nutraceuticals, with extensive experience in animal studies, gene expression analysis, and published scientific contributions across local and international journals.

Biography

Dr. Hauwa’u Yakubu Bako is a dedicated biochemist and senior lecturer at Kaduna State University, Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where her research focused on the therapeutic effects of JAK-STAT and NF-κB inhibitors in type 2 diabetic rats.

She earned her MSc in Biochemistry from Bayero University, Kano, and her BSc from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. Dr. Bako has published extensively in reputable journals, with research interests spanning diabetes management, oxidative stress, gene expression, and phytochemical therapeutics.

With over a decade of academic and research experience, she has mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her work employs advanced techniques including ELISA, PCR, and biochemical assays to explore metabolic disorders and potential herbal treatments.

Passionate about improving public health through science, Dr. Bako remains actively involved in teaching, collaborative research, and academic development within the field of biochemistry.
