Biography

Professor Butari Upah is an esteemed academic and English language specialist with a remarkable career in education spanning over two decades. He holds a Ph.D. in English Language from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and has acquired multiple qualifications, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and an M.A. in English Language. His academic journey began at Local Education Authority, Bete, and continued through esteemed institutions, including Government Secondary School, Ibi, and College of Preliminary Studies, Yola.

His career has seen him contribute significantly to institutions such as Kaduna State University and Federal University, Wukari, where he served in various capacities, rising to the rank of Professor. He is a dedicated educator, passionate about mentoring students and advancing research in English language studies. His scholarly work includes teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses and conducting research on language education.

A strong team player, Professor Upah is fluent in English and Jukun and enjoys endurance trekking, listening to music, and farming during his leisure time.
