My journey from undergrad to postgrad studies in nursing stems from a lifelong fascination with medical-surgical nursing and a commitment to honing nursing skills. Proficient in SPSS and Excel, I blend these tech skills with my love for farming, poultry, and staying informed online. When not immersed in research, you’ll find me absorbed in books or delivering speeches. My ambition is clear: to contribute to reshaping the nursing profession and positively impacting our community.”

Biography

Attahir Ibrahim, a dedicated nurse and medical-surgical specialist, exemplifies excellence in teaching, research, and leadership. With over a decade of experience, he has significantly contributed to nursing education at Kaduna State University, where he serves as Head of the Nursing Department. Passionate about oncology, infectious diseases, and medical-surgical nursing, his research focuses on cancer care, pain management, and elderly health. Notable publications include studies on cancer management challenges and nurses’ approaches to pain management in elderly patients. Proficient in SPSS and Excel, he integrates data analysis into his academic pursuits. Beyond academics, he mentors students, supervises research projects, and promotes distance learning. His leadership roles, including Examination Officer and Deputy Provost, reflect his commitment to fostering growth and collaboration within the nursing profession. Recognized for his technical expertise, teaching excellence, and compassion, he is dedicated to reshaping nursing practices and improving healthcare outcomes.
