KASU VC Receives Enactus Team, Commends Students for Outstanding Performance

The Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University (KASU), Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, has received members of the University’s Enactus team who represented the institution at the just-concluded Enactus National Competition.

The Vice-Chancellor, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen Afang Andow, congratulated the students for emerging as the second-place winners in the competition.

Prof. Andow commended the team for their outstanding performance, noting that their achievement had made Kaduna State University proud. She urged the students to remain focused and prepare adequately for future competitions, where they would continue to represent the University.

She also disclosed that the University Management would organise a special dinner in honour of the students to celebrate their remarkable achievement.

Speaking at the event, the Country Director of Enactus Nigeria, Mr. Michael Ajayi, said that 34 countries participated in Enactus competitions across Africa.

He explained that about 30 institutions in Nigeria, including Kaduna State University, participated in the national competition, where students had the opportunity to showcase innovative projects and programmes they had implemented throughout the year.

According to him, the competition provides students with a platform to demonstrate how their projects create opportunities and make a positive impact in society.

Mr. Ajayi congratulated the KASU team on their impressive performance and commended the University Management for nurturing talented students who were able to demonstrate their skills, creativity and expertise on the national stage.

In their response, members of the KASU Enactus team expressed appreciation to the University Management for the support and encouragement extended to them throughout their participation in the competition.

They thanked the Management for entrusting them with the responsibility of representing the University and pledged to work harder and achieve even greater success in upcoming competitions.

The achievement further underscores Kaduna State University’s commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity and practical solutions to societal challenges among its students.
