She has contributed significantly to teacher education, counselling, and educational development through her extensive teaching experience and scholarly work.

Biography

Dr. Rahmatu Abdullahi Dogara is a Lecturer I in the Department of Educational Foundations at Kaduna State University. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (2023), where her research focused on self-regulated learning, social media usage, and academic achievement among university students.

Her academic journey spans multiple qualifications in education and psychology, including a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Education. She also holds a National Certificate in Education (NCE), reflecting a strong foundation in teacher training and pedagogy.

Dr. Dogara has extensive teaching experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary education levels. She has served as a classroom teacher, facilitator, and lecturer in institutions such as Ahmadu Bello University, Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, and the National Teachers Institute. Her teaching areas include Educational Psychology, Counselling, Instructional Technology, and Social Psychology.

At Kaduna State University, she plays key administrative and academic roles, including Head of the Guidance and Counselling Unit at the Distance Learning Institute, Teaching Practice Coordinator, and Head of Section (Educational Psychology). She is actively involved in postgraduate teaching and supervision.
