The programme featured sensitisation walk and panel discussion organised under the theme “Say No to Drug Abuse.”
The initiative came after the inauguration of the new ABSIK administration, which has prioritised promoting the association’s objectives and contributing meaningfully to community development.

The “Say No to Drug Abuse” campaign was designed to address the developmental challenges caused by prolonged insecurity in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, which has persisted for nearly two decades. The programme aimed to sensitise and enlighten young people on the dangers and consequences of drug abuse while also proposing sustainable solutions to curb the menace.

Speakers at the panel discussion emphasised that youths are the bedrock and key drivers of development in any society, stressing that meaningful progress can only be achieved when young people shun drug abuse and other social vices.
The activities took place in the heart of Birnin Gwari town and attracted collaboration from Birnin Gwari students drawn from various tertiary institutions across the country. The association also expressed its commitment to sustaining such initiatives and looked forward to more impactful engagements in the future.
