The Chartered Institute of Professional Secretarial Staff of Nigeria (CIPSSON) has officially inaugurated the Kaduna State University (KASU) Chapter of the association during a visit by its management team to the university’s Kaduna Campus on October 3, 2025.
CIPSSON, established under Act 22 No. 31, is legally mandated to determine, regulate, and uphold the standards of knowledge, skills, and qualifications required for individuals seeking to practice as professional secretarial staff in Nigeria. The Institute plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the secretarial profession by promoting high standards, workplace etiquette, and ethical conduct across institutions and organisations.
The establishment of the KASU Chapter reflects the university’s sustained drive to strengthen professionalism and enhance service delivery across its administrative workforce. The initiative is expected to provide capacity-building opportunities, promote best practices, and foster a culture of excellence among secretarial personnel within the institution.
