In a gesture of gratitude and professional camaraderie, a group of mentees paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of Kaduna State University (KASU), Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, on Tuesday, 5th August 2025.
The visit was described as long overdue by the leader of the team, Dr. Romoke Opeyemi Quadri, Academy Librarian of the Nigerian Defence Academy. She expressed deep appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, whom she described as a mentor and teacher, both in her academic journey and professional growth as a librarian.
Also speaking during the visit, Ramatu A. Haliru, Librarian at Arewa House, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Kaduna, acknowledged the invaluable mentorship and academic guidance they have consistently received from Prof. Musa.
Adding his voice, Abduljabbar Tukur, E-Library Librarian at the Nigerian Defence Academy, commended the leadership style of the Vice Chancellor. He noted that Professor Musa exemplifies the qualities of a principled leader adding that it would be a great privilege to work under someone with such integrity and vision.
In his response, the Vice Chancellor expressed humility and gratitude for the visit. He emphasized that both success and setbacks in life are ultimately determined by the will of Almighty Allah. He said no one achieves anything except by Allah’s permission.
The Vice Chancellor further reminded the visitors that their current positions are not merely for personal elevation but are responsibilities held in trust for the public. He urged them to discharge their duties with dedication, sincerity, and a strong sense of purpose.
The visit concluded with a group photograph, capturing the spirit of appreciation and shared commitment to academic and professional excellence.
