Dr. Nathan Danladi Yerima is a lecturer at Kaduna State University (KASU), Nigeria, in the Department of Geography and Sustainability Studies. His research interests include ecohydrology, climate change adaptation, social hydrology, land-use change, geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and machine learning. He holds a Master of Science degree in Geography from the University of Ibadan (2015) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Resources Planning.
Yerima began his career as a geography teacher at the Government Secondary School in Kasuwan Magani, Kaduna, and later joined KASU as an assistant lecturer in 2018, progressing through the ranks to Lecturer I in 2024. He has contributed to the development of academic curricula and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research.
He has published in reputable journals and book chapters, with topics ranging from biocapacity to land-use dynamics and gender-based academic performance factors. Yerima has presented research papers at national conferences and is also a dedicated community service advocate, founding the “Tech-Up” program to offer free computer training to youths. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG). His work focuses on applying geospatial techniques to address environmental challenges in Nigeria.
