KURE, Mercy is a Medical-Surgical Nursing (MSc) graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a PhD student in the same institution. She is a Lecturer (II) staff of the Department of Nursing Sciences with the task of lecturing undergraduate student nurses, conducting research and community service. She is currently the departmental timetable scheduling officer of the department. She is also a member of the Employment and Promotions Committee and Chairperson Welfare Committee. Her research interest is medical surgical nursing, focusing on chronic and emerging infectious diseases. She is also a resource person at the Center for Energy, Environmental and Strategic Research Institution, Kaduna State University.

With over a decade of clinical experience, including her tenure as a Principal Nursing Officer at National Hospital, Abuja, Mercy brings invaluable expertise to her academic role. She has participated in numerous workshops, enhancing her skills in research, data analysis, and e-learning.
Her publications address critical issues in diabetes education, quality of life, and contraceptive counseling services. Mercy’s dedication to nursing is reflected in her strong critical thinking, public speaking, and nursing service skills, making her a vital contributor to healthcare and education.
