Dr. Zainab Kwaru Muhammad-Idris is a Consultant Public Health Physician with over 15 years of experience in managing public health programs in Nigeria, particularly in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child health, and nutrition. She currently serves as the Programme Manager for the World Bank-funded Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN) Project under the Kaduna State Ministry of Health.
Dr. Muhammad-Idris has held key roles, including Zonal Technical Officer for the UNDP-supported Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals (OSSAP MDGs) and State Team Leader for DFID-funded programs like PATHS2 and SNR. Her leadership in these projects has focused on strengthening health systems, improving HIV/AIDS response, and advancing nutrition interventions.
Dr. Muhammad-Idris’s educational qualifications are impressive. She holds Fellowships in Public Health from the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) and the International Program in Public Health Leadership (IPPHL) from the University of Washington. She also completed an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Ahmadu Bello University.
