Professor Ben Ahmed Chindo is a renowned academic and researcher in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Kaduna State University. Professor Ben Ahmed Chindo was born in Zangon Kataf, Kaduna State, Nigeria. A renowned academician and researcher, he is currently a Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kaduna State University, where he has contributed significantly to teaching, research, and academic administration.
Chindo earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) in 1990, followed by a Master of Science (MSc) in Pharmacology in 1999, and a PhD in Pharmacology in 2006, all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He further honed his expertise during post-doctoral training at the University of Otago, New Zealand, and at the University of the Pacific, USA.
His professional career includes key roles such as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kaduna State University (2016–2020), where he led the faculty to achieve national accreditation and successfully graduated the first set of pharmacists in 2019. Chindo has also served as Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at both Kaduna State University and the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development.
With extensive experience in both teaching and research, Chindo is dedicated to advancing the field of pharmacology, particularly in the areas of ethnopharmacology and systemic pharmacology. He has supervised numerous postgraduate students and authored numerous academic publications.
