She holds a BSc in Geography, an MSc in Tourism and Recreation, and a PhD in Environmental Management from the Nigerian Defence Academy’s Post Graduate School. Her research interests span natural resources, climate change, tourism management, and gender-related environmental issues.
Dr. Baba is an active member of various professional organizations, including the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG), and the Korea Institute for Rural Development. She serves as a part-time lecturer at Kaduna State University, where she contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in geography and environmental science.
Throughout her career, Dr. Baba has worked on numerous collaborative research projects, collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, and international institutions. She has represented Nigeria at international forums, such as the Women in Climate Change Forum in South Korea. As a co-founder of the Empower One, Empower All Foundation, she actively supports community development initiatives, focusing on underprivileged communities.
