KASU Clinches Gold in Badminton at 27th NUGA Games

Kaduna State University (KASU) has recorded a major victory at the ongoing 27th Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) Games 2025 in Jos, Plateau State, as its female badminton team won a gold medal in the team event category.

The duo of Mabel Kanwai Gyeyock and Joel Barau Gideon displayed exceptional skill, coordination, and determination to secure the top spot in the competition. The decisive matches were played on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Old Government House Badminton Hall in Jos.

The KASU representatives expressed excitement over the win and confidence in their ability to claim more medals, with two matches still ahead in the tournament.

Their performance has drawn praise from the university’s sports officials and supporters, who commended the players for bringing pride and glory to the institution.
