Kaduna State University (KASU) recorded an impressive 2–0 victory over the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), in a thrilling football encounter played on Monday, 10th November 2025. The match kicked off at 8:00 a.m. at the old site sports complex of the University of Jos, the host of the ongoing 27th edition of the NUGA Games.


KASU’s attacking midfielder, Lawal Salis Nass, was the hero of the day, scoring both goals that sealed the well-deserved victory for his team. The first goal came in the opening half, showcasing Lawal’s sharp and skillful free kick instinct and composure in front of goal. He later doubled the lead in the second half with another brilliant finish, securing KASU’s dominance throughout the match.
The encounter was characterized by high energy, teamwork, and tactical discipline from the KASU players, who maintained control of the game and displayed exceptional coordination from defense to attack. The University of Nigeria Nsuka, despite putting up a spirited fight, could not break through KASU’s solid backline.
With this outstanding win, Kaduna State University continues to prove its readiness and determination to make a strong statement in this year’s NUGA competition.
