The Management of Kaduna State University (KASU) received a generous donation of five specialized Nikon binocular microscopes from Dr. Ezekiel Musa, a Consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine and staff member of the University currently working in the United Kingdom.
The presentation was held on Wednesday, 6th August 2025, at the Vice Chancellor’s conference room.
The microscopes were formally handed over to the Vice Chancellor by Dr. Muhammad Kabiru, a lecturer in the Department of physiology at KASU, who facilitated the donation on behalf of Dr. Musa.

Present at the event were key members of the University’s management, including the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Muhammad Bashir Ali; the University Bursar, Hajia Hauwa M. Dalhat; and Prof. Yahya Hussain, Provost of the College of Medicine.
The Vice Chancellor expressed his appreciation for the donation, highlighting its importance and relevance to the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and research capacity. He also stated that the contribution helps bridge a vital gap in the institution’s medical training and diagnostic facilities.

Prof. Yahya Hussain stated that the donated microscopes would be used in several departments within the College of Medicine, including Physiology, Anatomy, Pathology, and Internal Medicine. He emphasized that the equipment will significantly boost teaching, research, and clinical practice.
