Biography

Biography of Dr. Nicodemus Kure

Dr. Nicodemus Kure is a dedicated academic and researcher with a strong foundation in Physics and Electronic Engineering. Born and raised in Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria, he currently serves as a Lecturer I at the Department of Physics, Kaduna State University (KASU). He is a Nigerian citizen, married with three children, and is fluent in English and Hyam.

Dr. Kure has established himself as a skilled researcher in Solid State Physics, Nanotechnology, and Renewable Energy, with notable publications in both national and international journals. His work focuses on the synthesis and characterization of carbon nanotubes and perovskite solar cells for energy applications.

He began his academic journey at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, where he earned his B.Sc. in Physics (2008). He then obtained an M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering (2016) from Universiti Putra Malaysia, followed by a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics (2024) from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kure has actively participated in numerous workshops and trainings in Nigeria and abroad, covering areas such as solar energy, nanotechnology, computational research tools (Matlab and LaTeX), and leadership development. He has presented papers at international conferences in Malaysia and Nigeria and is a member of several professional bodies including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Nigeria Institute of Physics (NIP), and the Solar Energy Society of Nigeria (SESN).

Dr. Kure joined Kaduna State University in 2011 as a Graduate Assistant and has risen through the ranks to Lecturer I as of October 2022 (CONUASS 04/06). He serves in various administrative capacities, including Level Coordinator, Project Coordinator, and Chairman of the ISTMS Journal Sub-Committee (Sciences).

His commitment to academic excellence, mentorship, and innovation continues to shape students and advance research in energy and material science fields within and beyond Nigeria.
