Biography

Dr. Hannatu Kwasau is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Drama at Kaduna State University, Nigeria. With a strong academic foundation, she holds a B.Ed in Language Arts (English) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she graduated with a Second Class Upper. She also earned her M.Ed in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Ph.D. in English Language from the same institution. Dr. Kwasau’s research focuses on linguistic analysis, including thematic structures, morphology, syntax, and discourse analysis.

Her career spans over three decades, starting as a classroom teacher and evolving into significant contributions in higher education. She has lectured at prestigious institutions like the Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology, Zaria, and Kaduna State University, where she continues to mentor students and advance research. Dr. Kwasau has been instrumental in developing curricula, teaching courses such as Advanced Syntax, Pragmatics, and Contemporary English Usage.
