Biography

Dr. Gabi Baba is a renowned biochemist, researcher, and academician with extensive expertise in malaria parasitology, phytochemistry, and public health. Born on March 3, 1969, in Bida, Niger State, Nigeria, he holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His research focuses on bio-prospection of medicinal plants for anti-plasmodial activities, ethnobotanical studies, and green synthesis of nanoparticles.

Dr. Baba has contributed significantly to the scientific community through his numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, addressing critical issues such as renal dysfunction in malaria patients and the pharmacological potential of plant extracts. He is also dedicated to teaching, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and supervising innovative research projects.

Currently a senior lecturer at Kaduna State University, Dr. Baba has held leadership roles at Kaduna Polytechnic, fostering academic excellence and community development. His commitment to science, education, and health solutions continues to impact lives globally.
