Abdullahi Sule Tanko is a dedicated academic and lecturer at Kaduna State University, where he serves in the Department of Geography & Sustainability Studies. He holds an M.Sc. in Geography (Climatology) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Geography. He also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the Federal College of Education, Zaria.
Tanko has been with Kaduna State University since 2019, where he teaches various undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to geography, climatology, and urban studies. His courses include subjects like Research Methods in Geography, Geomorphology, and Tropical Climatology. He is actively involved in supervising numerous undergraduate and postgraduate projects on topics such as environmental impact assessments, urban renewal, and climate change.
In addition to his academic roles, Tanko has contributed to community service, including being the Secretary General of Sardauna Memorial College’s Jumma’at Mosque. He is also a member of the Association of Nigerian Geographers and holds professional certifications in GIS and Engineering Design.
Tanko has published several papers in conferences and journals, focusing on climate change, sustainable development, and environmental studies. His research interests and teaching are aligned with his commitment to fostering a sustainable and informed future for Nigeria.
