Theme: Smart Tools, Safe Practices: Strengthening Digital Capacity in the University System
On 28th May 2025, the Center for Mentorship and Career Development (CMCD) at Kaduna State University (KASU) hosted a CPD webinar focused on enhancing digital capacity within the university system. The event explored AI-driven productivity tools and the importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding university data.
Prof. Abdulraheem Giwa from Ahmadu Bello University presented practical AI tools that can streamline administrative processes, boost research productivity, and improve decision-making, empowering both staff and students in the university system.
Cybersecurity specialist Maryam Shuaibu Aliyu emphasized the importance of protecting personal and institutional data. She shared key strategies for safeguarding passwords, recognizing phishing attempts, and responding to data breaches, equipping participants with the knowledge to mitigate digital risks.
The webinar successfully highlighted the role of AI and cybersecurity in modernizing academic and administrative practices at KASU, providing participants with valuable insights to enhance their professional practices and ensure data security in the digital age.
