The IMJ Group has successfully concluded the second edition of its Inter-Schools Quiz Competition, a six-day academic event aimed at strengthening educational development and deepening students’ knowledge across Kaduna State.
Organised by Ibrahim Mohammed Jamilu, Chief Executive Officer of IMJ Group, the competition took place from 8th to 13th December 2025 at Sardauna Memorial College, Kaduna. The initiative forms part of IMJ Group’s broader commitment to promoting learning through academic competitions such as quizzes and debates for both primary and secondary school students.


This year’s edition recorded an impressive turnout, with 79 schools registered, comprising 104 primary school teams, 21 public schools, and 83 private schools. In total, 732 students participated, reflecting the growing acceptance and relevance of the competition within the educational community.
The contest commenced on 8th December with preliminary rounds for both primary and secondary school categories, gradually narrowing down to the finals held on 13th December 2025.
At the grand finale, Cleveland Academy emerged winner in the primary school category, securing the first position with a cash prize of ₦300,000 alongside gift items. Maryam Yusuf Memorial Academy claimed second place with ₦200,000, while Kamtos International School finished third, receiving ₦100,000.

In the secondary school category, Federal Government College dominated the contest, clinching first place and winning ₦300,000 with tablets. Christ Ambassador School came second with ₦200,000, and Great Panaf School secured third position with ₦100,000.
The competition featured core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics for both categories. Secondary school participants were additionally tested in Biology, Chemistry, Government, Economics, and Physics. The questions were moderated by seasoned academics and educators, including Dr. Lawal Sule (English), Malam Abubakar Sali (Mathematics and Physics), Rouwan Hassan Yusuf (Biology), Imam Shamsu (Chemistry), Mr. Taofeeq Oyeniyi (Government and General Studies), and Malam Abdulhammed Danyaro (Economics).

The event was marked by a vibrant and engaging atmosphere, as students demonstrated remarkable confidence, teamwork, and academic preparedness. Participants were also presented with gift items as encouragement, further reinforcing the spirit of healthy academic competition.
Speaking at the event, Ibrahim Mohammed Jamilu, CEO of IMJ Group, emphasized that the competition was designed to instil a strong commitment to knowledge and academic excellence rather than focusing solely on rewards. He reiterated IMJ Group’s dedication to supporting education and creating platforms that inspire students to reach their full potential.


Also speaking, Dr. Haruna Muhammed Jumare highlighted the importance of community-driven initiatives in societal development. He commended IMJ Group and its CEO for giving back to society through education, describing the competition as a meaningful contribution to youth development.


The event attracted notable personalities, including Dr. Haruna Muhammed Jumare Maradi and Alhaji Muhammed Idris Waziri, among others. The success of the competition further underscores Kaduna State’s growing reputation as a hub academic excellence, with institutions such as Kaduna State University and other higher institutions expressing openness to nurturing talented students identified through such initiatives.



The IMJ Group Inter-Schools Quiz Competition continues to gain recognition within Nigeria and beyond, standing as a commendable model for educational empowerment and collaborative learning.
