Welcoming participants, Azeh Benjamin, Regional Manager of the NCAA, introduced representatives from Columbia State University. He emphasized the importance of preparing students for life beyond academia and encouraged them to engage with counselors during the event.



Prof. Muhammed Kabir Dauda welcomed attendees and highlighted the NCAA’s role in ensuring aviation safety and informing students about career opportunities in the sector.
Haruna Nura Suleiman, a pilot and flight instructor, spoke about the history of aviation, beginning with the Wright Brothers, and explained that a pilot’s primary responsibility is safety. He introduced student pilots as examples of future professionals in the field.



Edward S. Jonathan, a cabin crew member, clarified that the correct terms for his profession are “cabin crew” or “flight attendant.” He discussed the cabin crew’s critical role in ensuring passenger safety and comfort while highlighting the accessible training required for this career.
