Muhammad Balarabe

Lecturer

Muhammad Balarabe is a geoscientist specializing in Geological Mapping, Remote Sensing, GIS, and Environmental Management. A Ph.D. candidate at NDA, he actively researches spatial analysis, resource management, and groundwater quality, contributing scholarly publications and engaging with professional bodies NAPE, NMGS, and ANG.

 
 

Biography

Muhammad Balarabe is a passionate geoscientist and researcher specializing in Geological Mapping, Remote Sensing, GIS, and Environmental Resource Management. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Al-Hikmah University, an M.Sc. in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS (in view) at the same institution. His academic and research interests lie in spatial analysis, environmental assessment, and solid waste management, with a focus on applying geospatial technologies to solve environmental and geological challenges. Balarabe’s recent works include “Spatial Assessment of Groundwater Quality in Panteka Market, Kaduna” (Science World Journal, 2024) and “An Evaluation of Herbal Medicine Utilization in Kaduna State” (Concrescence Journal, 2025), both reflecting his commitment to multidisciplinary scientific inquiry. A member of professional bodies such as NAPE, NMGS, and ANG, he actively contributes to advancing geoscientific research and environmental sustainability. Currently serving at Kaduna State University (KASU), Balarabe continues to integrate technology-driven approaches into earth and environmental sciences, promoting innovative solutions for resource management and sustainable development in Nigeria.
