The Management of Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Kaduna, paid a courtesy visit to Kaduna State University (KASU) on Monday, 16 March 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen institutional collaboration and enhance postal service delivery within the university community.
The NIPOST delegation, led by Mrs. Joel Okonkwo, the State Postal Manager, comprised Adamu Waziri, Anowei Amechi, Mrs. Christianah B. Olajide, Shuaibu Hassan, and Maji A. Averson. Mrs. Okonkwo expressed appreciation to the Vice Chancellor and university management for granting the delegation the opportunity to visit.



She noted that the visit aimed to foster a stronger working relationship between NIPOST and KASU and appealed for office accommodation within the university to cater to postal needs, similar to arrangements in other tertiary institutions like Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The proposed collaboration would support projects worth millions of naira and enhance operational efficiency. Mrs. Okonkwo also appealed to the university to implement the ₦50 postage stamp duty on every receipt and voucher issued for transactions within the institution, in line with authentication requirements.



Responding on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery), Prof. Helen Afang Andow, welcomed the NIPOST team and thanked them for visiting. She stated that the visit meant a great deal to the institution and its management.


Professor Andow commended NIPOST for its dependability and services, assuring the delegation that some requests were feasible and would be reviewed. She acknowledged the concern regarding office accommodation and assured them that the university management would look into the matter.
The visit concluded with the presentation of a gift by the NIPOST delegation to the university as a token of appreciation, reaffirming their commitment to a productive partnership.
