CAN Chairman Rev. (Dr.) Joseph Hayab Renovates KASU CRS Conference Hall, Donates Books to Enhance Learning

The Department of Christian Religious Studies, Faculty of Arts, College of Humanities, Education and Law, Kaduna State University (KASU), has commended Rev. (Dr.) Joseph John Hayab, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), 19 Northern States, Nigeria, for his generous support toward the growth of Christian education and academic excellence in the University.

In a remarkable show of commitment to educational development, Rev. (Dr.) Hayab donated funds for the renovation of the Department’s Conference Hall. His financial assistance facilitated the replacement of the old, worn-out ceiling with a modern POP design, giving the hall a more appealing and conducive atmosphere for meetings, seminars, and academic engagements.

In addition to the renovation, Rev. (Dr.) Hayab also donated a dozen valuable Christian text materials to the Departmental Library. These books, covering areas such as Christian theology, ethics, and religious studies, have significantly enriched the Department’s academic and research resources for both staff and students.

The Head of Department, Dr. John Ishaku, on behalf of the staff and students, expressed deep appreciation to Rev. (Dr.) Hayab for his benevolence and continuous commitment to advancing Christian scholarship. He described the gesture as a demonstration of goodwill, partnership, and a strong sense of responsibility toward human and intellectual development in Northern Nigeria.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Project Committee, Rev. Dr. Zachariah Bulus Takore, Secretary, Apostle Moses Yaro Shok, and Committee member, Mrs. Serah Ishaya Dado lauded Rev. (Dr.) Hayab’s contributions, noting that his intervention has brought visible improvement to the Department’s infrastructure and academic environment.
