KASU Hosts Symposium on Study Habits and Time Management

Kaduna State University, in collaboration with the Counseling Unit and Student Affairs Division, held a one-day symposium on “Effective Study Habits and Time Management for Academic Excellence” on 23rd September 2025.

In her welcome remarks, Dr. Esther Gani, the Librarian College of Continuing Education, emphasized the importance of cultivating a strong reading culture, noting that reading enriches knowledge, sharpens critical thinking, and fuels creativity. She urged students to actively apply the insights from the program for personal and academic growth.

Counselor Comfort Raphael of the Student Affairs Division presented strategies for building effective study habits, including structured study schedules, minimizing distractions, and adopting productive learning techniques. She highlighted that such practices are essential for improved performance and a conducive learning environment.

Returning to the podium, Dr. Gani outlined the resources and services available at the university library—from books, journals, and online databases to research assistance and information literacy workshops. She encouraged students to fully utilize these facilities to support their studies.

The symposium featured an interactive session where students shared experiences and asked questions. In her closing remarks, Dr. Gani thanked all participants and urged them to remain committed to effective study habits, time management, and leveraging library resources to achieve academic excellence.
