The Kaduna State University (KASU) came alive from 27th to 30th August, 2025, as the National Association of Business Administration Students (NABAS), KASU Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, hosted its maiden Business Administration Students’ Week. Themed “Disrupt, Innovate and Dominate: Crafting the Future of Business”, the week-long event attracted students, staff, and members of the public within and outside the University.



The opening day featured a multi-sectoral seminar that addressed pressing social and professional challenges. Discussions centered on drug abuse and rehabilitation, with experts emphasizing the dangers of substance abuse and the collective responsibility of society in tackling it. Distinguished speakers included Dr. Rahinatu Muhammad, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences; Assistant Superintendent of Corrections, M.D. Musa (Nigerian Correctional Service); Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics, Mr. Muhammad Shuaibu (NDLEA); and Dr. Hassan Bala Sani, Neuropsychiatric Consultant, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Kaduna.



On the second day, a quiz competition for students of the Faculty of Management Sciences tested participants’ knowledge across various specializations. Four groups competed, with Group One emerging as champions. The winning team comprised:
· Promise Abiodun Benjamin (Finance)
· Japheth Precious Miracle (Marketing)
· Bello Faith Ohunene (Management)
· Precious Ezekiel (Entrepreneurship)



The third day featured an Executive Insights Forum, where students interacted with industry leaders and seasoned professionals. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Yushau I. Ango, urged students to cultivate entrepreneurship, resilience, and innovation as essential ingredients for success in today’s competitive world. Similarly, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Strategy, Innovation, and Service Delivery), Prof. Helen Afang Andow, advised students to pursue excellence in both academics and social endeavors. The forum also featured Mr. Enoch Nalado, Principal Consultant at How To Sell Academy, who delivered a thought-provoking presentation on brand building and customer engagement.



The week climaxed on the fourth day with an exhibition and funfair. Vendors from within and outside the University showcased diverse products, while participants enjoyed recreational activities, food, and music.
