The Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Kaduna State University is committed to addressing societal challenges through innovative research and media initiatives. Recently, we conducted a study titled “Enhancing Media Strategies for Promoting Environmental Sustainability: A Case Study of Kaduna State University,” which explored effective communication methods for raising awareness about issues like waste management, water pollution, and energy efficiency within the university.
Our research focuses on the role of media in tackling environmental challenges faced by the university and surrounding community. The aim is to develop media campaigns and strategies that promote sustainability, educate stakeholders, and advocate for a greener, more sustainable campus.
The Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Kaduna State University fosters research and intellectual engagement by providing platforms for scholarly discourse. THE LIBRARY
The guiding philosophy of the Journalism and Media Studies Library at Kaduna State University is to provide access to a wide range of resources that support academic excellence and professional growth in media and communication studies. The library houses over 5,000 volumes of journalism and media-related books, more than 10 acclaimed international journals, and provides access to online databases such as ProQuest, JSTOR, and Science Direct. It also offers thousands of e-books and research articles on media, communication, and related fields, along with modern study spaces and ICT facilities to enhance learning and collaboration. The library is committed to supporting research, learning, and the development of innovative media practices.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
