Mrs. Sa’adatu AbdulKadir is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in computer science, software development, and ICT administration. With a solid educational background and professional expertise, she leads the Department of Informatics at Kaduna State University.
Sa’adatu Abdulkadir is a seasoned academic and computing professional based at Kaduna State University (KASU), Nigeria. She was born in Kaduna State. Sa’adatu earned a B.Tech in Computer Science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, followed by an M.Sc. in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
She has extensive teaching experience, having served as a Lecturer at KASU since 2006. Sa’adatu teaches courses such as Computer Programming, Network & Data Communication, and Object-Oriented Programming. She is also actively involved in supervising postgraduate students and leading various academic initiatives. In addition to her academic work, she has held several administrative roles, including Head of the Department of Informatics, Deputy Director of the ICT Directorate, and Financial Secretary for KASU Majlis Co-operative Investment & Credit Society Limited.
Sa’adatu’s professional expertise spans software development, database management, and systems analysis, with significant contributions to various KASU projects. Her skills in programming languages like Java, PHP, and Visual Basic, along with her leadership in ICT initiatives, demonstrate her commitment to advancing technology in higher education. She is a member of several professional bodies, including the British Computer Society and the Nigerian Mathematical Society.
