Dean, Faculty of Agriculture
The Faculty of Agriculture is one of the pioneer faculties in Kafanchan Campus established in November 16th, 2012, when the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted the approval to commence academic activities. The Faculty offers a B.Agriculture Programme, and comprise of three (3) Departments namely: Agriculture Economics and Extension, Animal Science and Crop Science. The B. Agriculture degree programme is a five-year general agriculture programme with specialization option at the end of 4th year. The option areas are Agricultural Economics and Extension, Animal Science and Crop Science. Students admitted into the Faculty qualify for any of the three options. All the Departments are in one and same location and use the available facilities in the Faculty. Therefore, the staffs are responsible to the Dean of the Faculty who in turn, is responsible to the Vice-chancellor of the University.
He was the pioneer Head of Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension and a former Deputy Dean of the Faculty. He has contributed peer Review papers in reputable National and International Journals. He has four (4) Book chapters accredited to his name. He is married to Anna Mercy Ayuba and the two are blessed with children.
The broad objective of the Faculty is to produce graduates who are versatile enough to be job creators instead of job seekers. This commitment is in line with the Faculty mission of helping to solve the unemployment problem in the country for full participation and membership in society. The specific objectives are to:
- Produce graduates geared towards self-development;
- Produce graduates with sufficient technical productive and entrepreneurial skills who will be involved in production, research and entrepreneurship in any aspect of agriculture and other related disciplines and
- Produce graduates that are relevant to themselves, the industry and society and who can theoretically, the primary responsibilities of the departments under the Faculty are teaching and research in all aspects of cultivation, processing and marketing of crops; livestock production, processing and marketing and micro socio-economic research. In practice, however, some staff carryout administrative responsibilities without prejudice to their nature of employment.

Vision
It is envisioned that the Faculty would be a centre of excellence in imparting technology-based knowledge, skills, new ideas and intellectual practices relevant to the needs of it immediate communities and capable of developing the agricultural potentials of Kaduna State in particular, and the nation at large.
Mission
The mission of the Faculty is to advance frontiers of learning and break new grounds in agriculture through teaching, research and hands-on dissemination of knowledge of the highest quality; produce high level human capital with the right attitude capable of meeting both present and future challenges in agricultural sector in Kaduna State and the national economy for increased productivity, high income, reduced unemployment, competitiveness, and improved and sustainable standard of living.
