The Philosophy of Environmental Management program at Kaduna State University lies in the focused planning, design, implementation and monitoring of land use patterns and policy aspects of the environment in addition to global ecological challenges.
Our curriculum empowers students with cutting-edge and knowledge skills and versatility to meet the changing needs of education arising from social, economic, psychological and technological in addressing climate change mitigation, waste management, and natural resource conservation among others. Graduates from this program are well-prepared for impactful careers in government, NGOs, and private sectors, contributing to sustainable development.

Research
The Department of Environmental Management at Kaduna State University is dedicated to making a positive impact on society through actionable research. Our projects are designed to address pressing challenges and improve the lives and wellbeing of individuals in our community
Recently, our department conducted a study that investigated “Enhancing Environmental Sustainability at Kaduna State University: A Comprehensive Management Approach”. This research aimed to identify effective strategies for managing waste, mitigate water pollution and promoting energy efficiency within our university
One of the research embarked by the Department was “Enhancing Environmental Sustainability at Kaduna State University: A Comprehensive Management Approach”. The Background to the study is that Kaduna State University faces environmental challenges, including waste management, water pollution, and energy inefficiency, impacting students, staff, and the surrounding community.
Our objective is to Develop and implement an integrated environmental management system to promote sustainability, reduce environmental footprint, and enhance campus aesthetics.
